1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to every purchase of artworks and other products through this website from Wijnand Vlok Art ("the artist"). By placing an order you accept these terms.

2. Offer and prices

Each work is in principle unique or made in a limited edition. The offer applies while the work is available; a work marked as sold or reserved can no longer be bought.

Prices are in the currency shown and are final prices, unless stated otherwise. Any shipping costs are agreed with you before payment.

Photos show the work as faithfully as possible, but colours and texture can look slightly different on a screen than in reality.

3. Ordering and payment

The sale is concluded once you have completed payment on the payment page, or once the artist confirms your order by e-mail. Payment is made through an external payment service; Online Gallery, which hosts this website, is not a party to the sale and does not receive the money.

The work remains the property of the artist until it has been paid in full.

4. Delivery

After payment the work is carefully packed and shipped. The expected delivery time is agreed with you when you order and is never more than 30 days, unless you agree otherwise.

International shipping is available. Any import duties or local taxes outside the European Union are payable by the buyer.

The risk of damage or loss passes to you once you have received the work. Please check the parcel on arrival and report visible damage as soon as possible, preferably with photos.

5. Right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer, you have 14 days to change your mind, starting on the day you receive the work. During that period you can cancel the purchase without giving a reason. Let the artist know within that period at info@wijnandvlokart.nl; you then have another 14 days to send the work back.

Return the work undamaged and, where possible, in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are yours unless agreed otherwise. You will be refunded the purchase price, including the standard outbound shipping costs, within 14 days of your notice, although the artist may wait until the work has been received back.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to work made specially for you on commission or to your specifications.

6. Complaints and guarantee

If something is wrong with your purchase, report it as soon as possible at info@wijnandvlokart.nl, and in any case within two months of discovering the defect. You will receive a substantive reply within 14 days. Your statutory rights always apply.

7. Copyright

With the purchase you become the owner of the physical work, not of the copyright, which remains with the artist. Images of the work may not be used or reproduced without written permission, except for private use.

8. Governing law

These terms and every sale are governed by the law of the Netherlands. As a consumer you always keep the protection the law of your own country gives you. If you cannot resolve a dispute together, you can turn to the competent court.

9. In addition

Prices and shipping: prices are listed with the works, including VAT; if no price is shown, you receive a quote by e-mail in advance. Shipping within the Netherlands is included in the price; for shipping outside the Netherlands you receive a quote in advance. Delivery by parcel service within 14 working days of payment (sea freight 4 to 6 weeks); prints are made to order, with 7 to 14 days of production time by arrangement.

Payment: in advance, by bank transfer to Wijnand Vlok Art. The work remains the property of Wijnand Vlok Art until it has been paid in full.

Returns: report a return within 14 days of receipt to info@wijnandvlokart.nl and send the work back within 7 days of confirmation, undamaged, in its original packaging and with the certificate of authenticity.

Copyright: the intellectual property rights in the images remain with Wijnand Vlok. Reproduction of supplied prints and paintings and of the images on this website is not permitted without permission. Wijnand Vlok is a member of Pictoright.
